ABUNDANT SIMPLICITY: NURTURING QUAKER WITNESS AND COMMUNITY IN A WORLD OF EXCESS

A Course at Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre

Birmingham, try England — June 13-15, 2016

co-led by Margery Post Abbott and Gerald Hewitson

The New Creation has long been seen by Friends as a world where all humanity and life might thrive. How can we visualize this today? “Abolishing the laity” means each of us has a place in a new ecology of ministry: each of us has a part to play in embodying the radical hope which overcomes the “ocean of darkness.” We will explore how we live into that ministry and how our Meetings can encourage, sustain, and challenge us.
